How can I set different padding on each side for the TableLayout?

For example, I may like to have padding only on the left or right side, or only on the horizontal sides but not the vertical.

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking for. padding on each side of a cell? of the entire table? A sketch could be useful.

I'm guessing though that you'll need to write your own layout to handle this, or embed it in the child component styles.

I'm asking for the padding option for TableLayout. It currently only accepts one number instead of 4 numbers for each side. Is there any plan to expand its capability, or is there any workaround other than implementing a new TableLayout?

Looked through our implementation now that I'm at a computer. I see the padding you're referring to. I think my answer stands, we're not going to add the individual paddings at this time. Maybe another time. As such you should implement your own TableLayout, you're welcome to copy ours as a starting point. It's possible you'll need to re-implement ListLayout, which TableLayout inherits from as well.
