It would be nice to be able to use the app on Android Wear devices.

My main use-case for Audile is identifying tracks while clubbing. I'd prefer to not pull out my phone for this, since I don't like seeing other people's phones on the dancefloor. Some clubs even require to leave the phone at the coat check (but watches are allowed).

I realize that a companion app won't work, since the communication requires Google Play services, which make it incompatible with F-Droid. However, a standalone app would be possible.

Being independent from the phone is definitely a plus, so a standalone app looks more viable. However, a standalone app would also have its own separate recognition history, which raises the question of syncing histories through a remote server.

The main problem is that I don’t use or own any Wear OS devices. Development with an emulator is possible, but it is much less motivating. Because of that, this feature currently has a fairly low priority in my dev roadmap.

That said, the project is open to external contributions. If someone with Wear OS experience is interested in working on a port, I would be happy to see that.
