The Custom Emoji Panel - How Is It Meant To Work?

Our Custom Emoji panel when creating a post is empty. I am unsure what the intention of it is and how to get some Emoji in there, I've checked what I can find of documentation with no luck.

Any advice much appreciated.

Is there a section in the admin UI to add custom emojis? Ah thanks! I am still a little flummoxed as to why I have no 'standard' emojis in the dialogue is this how it should look?

There are no "standard" emoji on Phanpy. Your OS should provide those.

GoToSocial comes without any locally hosted emoji. You will need to add them on the administrative interface, in your case at https://hub.wanaka.social/settings, specifically at https://hub.wanaka.social/settings/admin/emojis/local.

I usually use :name: short codes for emojis while typing my posts or searching them in the panel. But with Phanpy I can find only emojis I specifically imported to my instance.

Is there a way to enable in Phanpy some default set of emojis which are usually available everywhere?

These examples are from GoToSocial's fork of Masto-FE, but usually it works like that by default also in at least some desktop/mobile apps.

P.S. I understand that I can technically import a lot of standard emojis as custom ones to work this around, but maybe there's some kind of build flag or something to enable them in Phanpy?
