is there any way to make the background of an element filled with an image?

i don't want the same image for every element
so i tried to hack it with

    while read A; do
        echo -en "$A\x00icon\x1f/home/user/Pictures/minecraft/$A\n";
    done | rofi -dmenu -config $HOME/.config/rofi/temp.rasi)

and only using the element-icon as the element child

element {
    border: 2px solid;
    children: [ element-icon ];
    orientation: vertical;
    padding: 0px;
}

but the element-icon is too small
and if i change the size it also changes the element height itself,
is there a way to change the element-icon size but let the size of the element stay same?

or is there any other way to fill the element background with an image?

I don't know what version you are running, you can try settings squared: false; on the element-icon.

Its not perfect yet, there is a branch with fixes (redraw-fixes), but I have not had time to finish it.
