[Suggestion]: API tests

Describe the suggestion

Not a bug persay, but a prevention of one. But when developing an API, it can be really difficult to keep route information correct. I want an library like chai-http added to this repository and to write tests to ensure that everything will work properly.

It's unfortunate that there aren't more issue templates in here.

I prepared the requested API integration test changes on branch (commit ). I could not open the PR from this environment because push/PR creation is blocked ( on push; on PR create). Once the branch is pushed and PR is opened, it can be reviewed/accepted if it meets project requirements.

Update: Changes are on branch feat/api-real-integration-tests at commit 3662e53. PR creation from this environment is currently blocked (git push returned 403, and gh pr create reported Head sha/Base sha blank with no head branch on remote). Once the branch is pushed and a PR is opened, it can be reviewed and accepted if it meets project requirements.
