This is a strange bug and it took me a long time to narrow it down to wine-xiv-git. But my gamepad is not being recognize by FFXIV if I launch the game with XIVLauncher.Core.
This was working before I am not sure what triggered the bug (maybe a kernel update?). I am using Arch Linux, Sway and Wayland.
I know the bug in on wine-xiv-git because the controller works fine if I launch the game with any other wine version, which unfortunately breaks dalamud.
I tested running /path/to/wine-xiv/git control and the gamepad is not recognized there as well, running wine control or /path/to/proton control allow me to see my gamepad.
