Fcitx5-mozc doesn't work in the text fields in-game

I use Fcitx5 and mozc to type in Japanese in FFXIV, unfortunately no text is outputted in the text fields in game. Using the official launcher via proton experimental, the IME works as intended, which makes me think this is a version-specific wine issue.

FWIW, this works if you run under Wayland mode (set DISPLAY= as a launch variable)

Can you share the command line and environments variables you're using to get this to work under Wayland? I've been having a hard time to get Fcitx recognized under Wayland mode. Are you using the current release of Wine in this repository (from March), or the one from last year?

I'm using Fedora F44 with KDE, and using the Stable version provided by XIVLauncher. The only environment variable I've set is DISPLAY=.

I can try with this version, but I'm not yet sure how to build it and use it instead. Mostly because I want to get background detection working under Wayland.
