Quick question first — is there any way to hook up GSD to Kimi Code CLI right now, even unofficially? Maybe through one of the existing runtimes or some workaround?
I’ve been using Get Shit Done and really like the whole spec-driven / context engineering approach — it’s super clean and practical. That’s why I wanted to suggest adding official support for Kimi Code CLI.
Right now GSD supports a lot of runtimes (Claude Code, OpenCode, Gemini CLI, Codex, Copilot, Cursor, Windsurf, Qwen Code, Cline, etc.), but Kimi is missing. At the same time, Kimi is becoming a pretty strong coding agent.
The main reason this stood out to me: Kimi K2.6 is currently #7 on Arena’s Code Arena WebDev leaderboard, which puts it right next to models like Claude Sonnet 4.6. So it’s already among the top coding models, but not usable with GSD yet.
Feels like a great candidate to add — especially for people who want more flexibility in choosing their coding agent.
