How to configure a custom folder to replace .local?

I am on a company-owned laptop where I don't have write privilege to the ~/.local folder.

When starting up zsh, I get ".autocomplete__main:zf_mkdir:21: cannot make directory... permission denied"

Is there anyway to change it to another folder?
