Requesting an obvious way to leave edit mode

Describe the solution you'd like
My users do not know how to exit Edit mode after clicking the Edit icon in the control panel. There are no obvious widgets on-screen for them to save or cancel an edit. It would be ideal if the content panel remained during Edit mode but now had icons to allow save or cancel/exit - maybe others and is also configurable via bindingOptions.

Describe alternatives you've considered
Currently I display a toast-like notification informing users to hit ctrl+enter to save edits or exit. This works but it is not ideal.

Pressing Escape will exit editing mode. I do have plans to extend this area to add a button to make exiting bulk editing a little easier.
